Charlotte Lascelles was born circa May 1775 at Ireland (probably); but could have been born as late as 1777: when she was buried at Oddington her age was recorded as 55. The date 1775 is more likely as she is referred to as the 2nd daughter of the General, and so must be younger than Frances (b1774) and older than Jane (b1776). She was the daughter of General Francis Lascelles and Ann or Anne Catley. Charlotte Lascelles witnessed the will of Ann or Anne Catley on 13 October 1788 at Little Ealing; Her will, signed "Anne Cateley", leaves the entire estate ("amounting to some £5,000") to her children (1 F, 2 Rowley, 3 Frances, 4 Charlotte, 5 Jane, 6 GR, 7 E, 8 Edward Robert), and appoints their father, Major-General F L, as executor. Charlotte Lascelles married The Hon. & Very Rev. Dr. Edward Rice DD, son of The Rt. Hon. George Rice P.C., M.P. and The Rt. Hon. Lady Cecil de Cardonnel Baroness Dinevor, on 9 July 1800 at St. Mary's Church, St. Marylebone, London; Charlotte was described as "2nd [sic] daughter of the late General L." Licence issued 8 July 1800, saying that ER was of the parish of St Mary le Bone, a bachelor aged 21 and upwards, and CL was of the same parish and age, a spinster. As of 9 July 1800,her married name was Rice. Charlotte Lascelles lived with The Rev. Francis William Rice 5th Baron Dynevor on 15 January 1829 at Oddington, Gloucestershire. "the influential lady... has of late adopted puritanical [viz. Evangelical] views with great zeal." Charlotte Lascelles died on 22 February 1832; "On Wednesday [22/2/1832] Charlotte wife of Dr Edward Rice Dean of Gloucester leaving 10 children to lament her loss" (NB Not in IGI, nor in Bath & Cheltenham Gazette). She was buried on 27 February 1832 at Oddington; "The Honble Mrs Rice aged 55 (sic)."
