Kenneth Bertram Davis lived circa 1944 at Little Croft, Wootton Wawen. He was he went for three days on 18 May 1954 at Dusseldorf. He was and his wife returned from holiday at Hotel L'Horizon, St Brelade's Bay, Jersey - a rare forray abroad! On 6 September 1956. He lived in August 1966 at Tilletts' flat, Seaview House, Seaview; on holiday. He lived in August 1967 at Seaview House, Seaview; on holiday. He died on 7 January 1983 at age 73.

As of 2 December 1939,her married name was Davis. Emily Mary Gateley MBE was ill with a heart attack in 1972 at Arrow Old Rectory. As of 11 June 1988,her married name was Tillett MBE. She married Cyril Vernon Tillett on 11 June 1988 at Our Lady & St. Simon Stock, Putney, London. Emily Mary Gateley MBE died on 15 March 2003 at The Coach House, Arrow, near Alcester, Warwickshire, at age 86; following a massive stroke 10 days earlier. She was buried on 25 March 2003 at Arrow.

Peter Davis was living. He was born on 17 January 1812 at Burford, Shropshire; His daughter noted the month and day in her diaries. He was the son of Samuel Davis Sr. and Elizabeth Reynolds. Peter Davis was recording in his diary: "Go to Oldwood in afternoon to see my Father's brother, Edwe'd (?) Davis who is unwell and leave him a ticket to be admitted to the dispensary." on 23 May 1836 at Oldwood, Tenbury Wells. He was recording in his diary: "Mrs. Reynolds accompanies us to Burford Church and stays dinner at Burford" on 5 June 1836. He was recording in his diary: "Mrs. Reynolds (of Burcott) accompanies from Lodge party to stay the night here [that is, Dean Park, Burford]" on 9 June 1836. He was recording in his diary: "Put Samuel's horse to Mrs. Reynolds carriage and take her home to Burcott. Get there to dinner... Return to Burford to sleep." [It's about 25 miles from Burford up to Burcote.] on 13 June 1836. He was recording in his diary: "...back to Badger to Tea. Go from thence on horseback to Kemberton to visit my uncle, Peter Reynolds. Stay the night there." on 15 June 1836. He was recording in his diary: "Fine day. Sunday. Eliza & I dine with Father at Burford." on 19 June 1836. He witnessed the marriage of William Trumper and Eliza Davis on 9 August 1836 at Nash Chapel, Burford; mentioned in Peter Davis's diary: "Eliza and Mr Trumper are married at the Nash Chapel." Peter Davis was recording in his diary: "Take Tea at Burford along with Sam and his bride, a truly affectionate and estimable person." on 12 August 1836. He lived on 2 September 1837 at Burford Rectory, Salop. He witnessed the burial of Samuel Davis Sr. on 2 September 1837 at Burford; "In memory of Samuel Davis who died 30 August 1837 aged 69 years", it says on his gravestone in Burford churchyard (near to the S-E end of the church) "Slight storms. AM. Fine afternoon. The funeral day of my poor dear Father. The chief mourners, my brothers..William & Saml , Mrs Trumper and myself. The Pallbearers, eight in number, viz. Mr Wm Reynolds, Mr Partridge, Mr B Edwards, Mr E Edwards, Mr B Giles, Mr C Williams, Mr J Nott of Eastham & Mr Wm Mytton of Deptcroft. The underbearers 6 of the workmen viz. Thos Phillips, James Porton, John Dewis??, John Jones, Wm Bayliss & Thos Peade??. Mr Rushout & Mr Rodwell , the clergymen. The former performed the burial service. Also present Mr H Davis, the surgeon, & Mr Anderson, the Attorney who prepared the will, Morgan the coffinmaker, Mills the tomb builder. The pallbearers wore hatbands and scarfs. The workmen hatbands and gloves took 5/ each in money. All the rest of workmen at Park, Nash and Burford who were not bearers gloves and 5/ each in money. Mr Russell the undertaker. On returning home Mr Anderson read the will. Only Saml & Aunt Partridge stay dinner with me. The Executors, my two brothers and myself. The trustee for my sister Mr Wm Reynolds. All passes off in the greatest and pleasantest manner possible and may the Lord have mercy on the soul of the departed. A better Father, a better husband or a more upright and honest man never was in existence." Peter Davis witnessed the probate of the estate of Samuel Davis Sr. after 6 September 1837; Probate of their father's will was granted to Wm, Samuel (Junior) and Peter Davis - personal effects under £2000. Peter Davis was taking on an additional 16 acres of farmland at Court of Hill, slightly north of Nash on 31 October 1837. Heappeared in the 1841 census at The Lodge, Broncroft Farm, Diddlebury, Shropshire. He lived in 1845 at Milton, Pembridge, Herefs. at time of wedding. He married Jane Jeffries, daughter of Thomas Jeffries Jnr. and Jane Meredith, on 30 January 1845 at Parish Church, Pembridge; by licence; the officiating minister being The Rev. William Lee, the bride's uncle by marriage, and the witnesses mostly being relations of the bride - her father's sister Mary Anne; her brother EJJ, and her mother's brothers John & Henry, brother-in-law John Morgan, and nieces Anna Maria Mitchell and Mary Ann Morgan - plus two called William and Jane, surnames illegible. The licence (dated 20 Jan. 45) says the groom was 33 and the bride 19, both of Pembridge parish, the bride's mother (a widow) consenting to the match. Peter Davis lived in 1846 at Pembridge. He lived in 1850 at Titley, nr. Lyonshall. He lived in 1851 at King’s Head Farm, Bromfield, Shropshire; which is on the West of the village. He appeared in the 1851 census at Village Fm. House, Bromfield, Shropshire. He lived on 28 September 1860 at Bickmarsh Hall, Warwickshire; "We have a copy of sale particulars dated 1858 (ref. CR1596/Box 82/16) for the Hall and the Bickmarsh estate (995 acres) when the tenant was John Bursell. We also have a valuation of the fixtures at the Hall dated 28th September 1860 (ref. CR 2433/31/47) at the handover from Bursell to Peter Davis." NB The particulars were for a sale of 995 acres (freehold) of the Bickmarsh Estate, including the Hall, due to take place by auction on 30th Sept. 1858. He appeared in the 1861 census at Bickmarsh, Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. He appeared in the household of Mary Anne Jeffries in the 1871 census at Lower House, Stapleton Court Farm, Presteigne, Herefordshire. He died on 29 December 1896 at Cross-o'-the-Hill Farm, Stratford-upon-Avon, at age 51; pneumonia: his obituary says he was not a stockman, but an outstanding horticulturist. Samuel Davis Sr. was born between 1 September 1768 and 29 August 1769. He was the son of Edward Davis. Samuel Davis Sr. married Elizabeth Reynolds, daughter of Peter Reynolds and Mary Reynolds, on 26 June 1804 at Nash Chapel, Burford, Salop; groom spelled Davies in the Register, by licence. Witnesses Wm. Reynolds, presumably the bride's brother, and WalterTolley. Samuel Davis Sr. lived before 1822 at Lower Nash, Salop. He lived in 1822 at Dean Park, Burford, Salop; (Note, that on 8th February 1685, three children of John & Elizabeth Hall, of Deane Park, were baptised; and on 29th February 1691, Jon Hill, keeper of Deane Parke, was buried. So this was a long-established place of residence.). He was a farmer. He was a witness when Peter Davis was recording in his diary: "Fine day. Sunday. Eliza & I dine with Father at Burford." on 19 June 1836. Samuel Davis Sr. witnessed the burial of Edward Davis on 30 July 1836 at Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire; mentioned in Peter Davis's diary: "Father goes to attend the funeral of his late brother from Mr. Potts’s Oldwood to Tenbury Church."
