This is a bit of a puzzle: it is definitely KBD sitting on the rug, playing with the dog.  His mother, Gertrude née Pickering sits behind him, and his father, Arthur Bertram Davis behind her.  Gertrude had two older brothers, William H. and Ernest F. Pickering, and it seems likely that they are on ABD's left, with their respective wives in the chairs either side of KBD's mother.  It also seems likely that the man on the left is the father of the three, namely Henry Pickering, born 1851.  As at the date of the 1911 Census, he lived at 109 Kingswood Road, Moseley, Birmingham, which may or may not have been where this photograph was taken in, say, 1913.
