"Man on Man" by Sokari Douglas Camp, 4.5 metres high (2002)

In her own words, 'I am fascinated by Masquerades and it is interesting how much of world culture has adopted costumed performers... My sculpture is composed of two figures one balancing on the other becoming another form; this is symbolic of the idea of the Commonwealth. Common nations working together and becoming another larger body. I have specifically chosen dancers with a mask because a mask is so fascinating, a familiar item, but so different from our own face.'
